The REASON Natural Language Processor

REASON software provides several avenues to a user to help him input facts into the system. The traditional way is to utilize a sentence template. Using this wording template assures that the statement of fact that the user offers is a complete statement of fact.

REASON®’s Natural Language Processor (NLP) feature allows an English speaking user to input facts into the REASON system in a more free form manner. The NLP automatically and intelligently converts a user’s vague statements into more concisely accurate statements of fact. Stating facts more concisely and directly is an important feature that helps a user communicate more clearly to others and helps the user keep to the meat of the issues involved in a case. All of these advantages expedite making progress in an investigation. The template is always available to the user for data input purposes. Yet, the NLP is a dramatic step forward in assisting users, especially infrequent users, in making faster progress during their investigations.
