The REASON Scaled Process

REASON 6 has three scaled modes of operation (tiers):

• Frontline® mode is deigned to make the best use of 15-20 minutes  of an investigator’s time
• REASON EXPRESS® is a mode of operation that is designed to best use 2-4 hours of an investigator’s time
• REASON Classic® is a mode of operation that is designed to best use an investigator’s time when time is not a limiting issue.

 “Right-sizing” the problem to the tool is what the REASON scaling modes were designed to provide. This feature uses a front end that the customer can customize which guides a user (based on the caliber of issue before him) to use one of three 'levels' of investigation. This feature saves a lot of the users' time by making sure he is not wasting time but is spending the appropriate amount of time on a particular event.
